WebMail is an interface which allow its users to handle electronic mail using a WWW browser like Mosaic or Netscape. The WebMail interface is similar to the Netscape News Interface: it's intuitive and easy to use. Furthermore a WWW based interface prevent users from learning the use of an external mail reader. WebMail is not only a plain e-mail browser, but also, it can use the capabilities of the hosting browser. It makes it possible to send and receive e-mail messages with special features, such as images and links to other documents. WebMail has been written by the Computational Genetics Group at CRS4.
